The Receptionist is likely to need to handle multiple incoming telephone lines and possibly many simultaneous calls whilst managing the flow of calls to internal staff. The phones below can handle at least 6 incoming lines.

Receptionist Telephone Expansion Module
Where the receptionist requires many hotkey functions and the ability to handle large call volumes and many simultaneous calls the Polycom IP601 has an add on expansion module. Up to 4 expansion modules can be connected to the telephone to give enormous functionality and capacity for call handling.

Softphone
Where a Softphone is required Lixxus have selected the SJLabs free Basic softphone software. The figure below shows the basic phone skin.
The customer can of course select to use any phone from the range for whatever purpose and can, subject to availability, select other IP telephones (e.g. wireless handsets) from outside of these ranges so long as Lixxus are happy to guarantee voice quality and that the network infrastructure will support them.
