Gaelic Telecom is part of The Imagine Group and is a pan-European communications provider and one of the most respected communication and entertainment companies in Europe.
Imagine Group have been successful participants in the European telecoms market for the past 18 years, whilst domestically becoming Ireland's fastest growing communication and entertainment company, serving approximately 70,000 customers and growing.
Background
Gaelic Telecom were looking for a partner in the UK to supply white label broadband services to GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) members. The GAA have a loyal following throughout Ireland and the rest of the world with some 800,000 members, and Imagine Group, via their subsidiary Gaelic Telecom, is their preferred supplier and to date have raised over €2.9 million to the GAA at grass roots level through the partnership. Gaelic Telecom were looking for a partner who could supply a DSL product to compliment the Gaelic Telecom PSTN and voice service already in place.
Gaelic Telecom needed a solution for a new direct marketing campaign aimed at over 90,000 users.
Solution
The Lixxus UK network allows its partners access to over 5,400 exchanges providing a wide range of broadband services including ADSL, RADSL and SDSL with speeds of up to 24Mbps at 50:1, 20:1 and 1:1 contentions. For this particular project Lixxus designed a bespoke consumer grade product portfolio for Gaelic Telecom based on its 50:1 ADSL IPStream and LLU offering. In addition to the broadband service, and as part of an end to end solution, Lixxus also manage the end user hardware fulfilment as and when required.
Lixxus has always provided its partners with the ability to proactively manage their customers via its online portal, LOUI (Lixxus Online User Interface). LOUI provides real time access to partners so that they can directly control any adds, moves and changes as efficiently as possible. The key to the solution for Gaelic Telecom was the seamless integration into the Gaelic Telecom in-house CRM platform, allowing it to continue with its existing provisioning and 1st line support processes thus reducing any need for re-training of staff.
Lixxus completed the specification, build test and roll-out within 3 weeks.
